Theme 4- Ugly beauty- sparklyunicornninja's BNTM

So i got called first last week. (YAY!) and i was super excited. So this week, the theme was "Ugly Beauty" I wanted to go for a kind of nerd look. SORRY FOR THE BAD QUALITY. I'm not expecting first place, and i understand this is one of my weaker photos. i just hope it's good enough to keep me in the competition. Oh! and sorry, i couldn't find my bratz glasses.

Note: i didn't use my advantage this round, because since it was my first top photo, i wanted its to be fair to everybody, and didn't want to get another first place just because i used a different background. (not that i would get first place, just and example.)

Beverly Hills

On a winter road trip to Utah with Jeremiah for some snowboarding... Getting tired from sitting too long, we figured Beverly Hills, Nevada, was a pretty good place to stop and take a hike in the snow...

Unfortunately, it's the wrong bride and the wrong Frankenstein as the classic monster, actor Boris Karloff, stalks the unwitting wife-to-be of the young Dr. Frankenstein on her wedding day.

She was beautiful in a literally see-through lavender flower print dress and interesting to talk to, although other folks in the area acted like I was talking to thin air. Can you hear me, Topper?

Bette Davis Eyes, Tonemapped Version

TV shot from "Stardust, the Bette Davis Story," and processing and tonemapping by me.
This image was first a screenshot I took while watching this fascinating documentary about her life. The file was first processed through adobe camera raw, then to photoshop where I did a complete work-flow, including levels, curves, B&W layer with colorization levels on top of that. The file was then saved as a jpeg, opened in photomatix and tonemapped.
